CinEd is a European cooperation programme dedicated to cinema education, which aims to enable young people between the ages of 6 and 19 in Europe to discover the richness of European cinema, whilst developing their abilities in critical analysis and gaining knowledge of cinematographic language and techniques. Initiated and driven by the Institut français in Paris, this comprehensive programme brings together, 10 different partners from 8 European countries: A Bao A Qu (Spain), ACFK (Czech Republic), Institut français - Cinémathèque française (France), GET cooperativa sociale (Italy), IhmeFilmi (Finland), Os filhos de Lumière (Portugal), Macondo (Romania), NexT (Romania), SEVEN (Bulgaria), all involved in cinema education.

CinEd intends to bring together more and more partners every year from different countries.

Welcome all!

After a first year made of an intense European cooperation, the birth of its collection made of films & educational resources, and several months of experimentation of its platform, CinEd continues its development in this second year (September 2016 – August 2017) !

The programme:

  • Welcoming of a new partner from Finland, IhmeFilmi
  • 12 films - 15 in 2017 - from Romania, Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain and France - to be discovered on the platform
  • Associated pedagogical resources and videos - available on the platform in the original and in their multilingual version from December 2016 (already available on demand). 
  • From cinema classics to emerging talents, they propose a diversity of look from key European filmmakers.
  • Invitation to approach the films according different scales (from the whole film to analysis of certain scenes, shots or photograms), and from different entries (thematic, technical, historical, social, cultural). 
  • To enable a dialogue between CinEd film collection and images coming from other artistic and cultural fields (photography, visual arts, comics, advertisement, etc.) 
  • Early 2017, the access to the new CinEd website which will offer new complementary information to the users.

Nothing could be easier. You only have to register to freely reach the programme, to be trained thanks to the resources and prepare your screenings and activities with the students and the young people you will work with.
